FIRST Project use of BeWebmaster CMS
A community based non-profit organization F.I.R.S.T. Project uses BeWebmaster CMS to inform public of their services, keep in contact with their volunteers, donors and supporters and send out newsletters.
Functionality
F.I.R.S.T. Project needed a web site that could be updated by their staff and volunteers, and could be used to inform volunteers, supporters and donors of news and updates.
BeWebmaster CMS built in functionality such as web based HTML editor, user management and newsletter subscriber management allows F.I.R.S.T. Project to easily complete these tasks.
F.I.R.S.T. Project staff and volunteers can now easily contribute content to their web site making it vital and fresh. Using HTML editor the staff was able to easily add a donation page which uses Paypal donation buttons to securely process any donation made to this non-profit organization.
Layout and Design
F.I.R.S.T. Project hired Web design company ASARI to come up with the design and layout of their website www.firstproject.org. ASARI used Adobe Photoshop to design the layout and carefully sliced the images to be used in BeWebmaster CMS.
The banner image was sliced at width of 755px to make sure the web site can fit 800px wide browser windows.
Notice how ASARI used curved lines in the banner image to bring out calmer look to the website. Since BeWebmaster CMS based layouts are strictly CSS, the curved lines used also prove that CSS web sites don't need to be boxy and minimalist designs.
There are couple of other graphics that ASARI carefully positioned using BeWebmaster CMS CSS layout editor to complete the layout. For example, to balance the curve of the banner image on top, ASARI created another curved image and positioned it in the lower part of the page.
The image is 539px wide and positioned using BeWebmaster CSS layout editor in a way that slides accross the bottom of the page as the browser window is resized.
Conclusion
F.I.R.S.T. Project web site needs were completly met with BeWebmaster CMS. ASARI was able to efficently use BeWebmaster CMS to come up with a design that successfully represents the image of this non-profit organization.
