Gallery Director Pro: Online Proofing for Photographers
Gallery Director Pro is a project I've been working on for the last couple of months. Gallery Director Pro is an online proofing solution for photographers that's feature rich, simple to use and affordable. It's a product my wife, who is a photographer, has been searching for but couldn't find. So I built her a custom one. The product has worked really well for her, so we decided to share it with anyone who is interested.
Gallery Director Pro was created in PHP and JavaScript. I chose jQuery for AJAX handling and Java for FTP uploads. Logo was designed in Illustrator and the website in Dreamweaver.
So what does Gallery Director Pro do?
It's a very simple application that allows photographers to quickly generate web galleries, slideshows and albums for client proofing. It's shopping cart makes it easy to process orders. Gallery Director Pro keeps track of all orders for easy look up of order and/or financial information.
One of the things that makes Gallery Director Pro different from similar products is that it really is easy to install and use. Most of the other products require installation to be done by professionals Gallery Director Pro doesn't.
