Link Checker Pro Review
Link Checker Pro is highly efficient tool when it comes to broken and other problem link checking. It is user friendly and powerful enough to handle web sites with thousands of links.
Its interface is very simple.
You have the main controls on the top left, side frame on the left, main result frame in the middle and result customization buttons on the bottom.
Closer Look at Interface and Functionality
Main controls in the top left part let you create new, save and open existing project (file extension .ky1), show or hide side frame, open site mapper and get to the program settings.

Program settings come with lots of options on how you want and need Link Checker Pro to behave for you. Change settings to:
- HTML Reports
- Server/Cookies
- File Extensions
- Connection
- Threads
- Check/Ignore
- URL
- Misc.
- Colors.
On the top right of the main window you can find button to open files from hard drive on the local machine or text field to unter a URL of a web site you want to check. Than there are buttons you can use to start, pause and stop link checking.
In the side frame you can choose between Site map, Data files (saved Projects) and favorite views. In the bottom part of the side map view you can find detailed information on link selected in the main result frame. (See image on the right)
While the program is running the real life info on how many links have been checked and how many remain is displayed on the title bar.
Once the Link Checker Pro has finished checking your URL it displays a short summary in a small window. Detailed resultes with the status of all the links program found are displayed in the main frame/screen.
You can choose to view only missing, bad request, email links etc. To do so you can use menu bar option “View Links” or buttons on the bottom of the main frame. (image on the left)
Below the View Links buttons is a row of tabs that let you choose between Data Grid (default), Data Report, View URL and View Source.
Link Checker Pro includes site mapper which allows you to see graphical representation of web site structure. The representation can be saved as a BMP file for future reference.
Another great feature is that you can export your reports in an html, excel or text (tab or comma delimited) format.
Link Checker Pro is a great, efficient and very powerful tool that we would recommend webmasters who maintain big websites. There are some downsides to it.
One is not so attractive interface. Buttons are too big and it seems like the developer-s lacked some creativity when creating the icons for the buttons.

The other is the price, between $75.00 - $1,200.00 which is a little too high for our taste.
We give Link Checker Pro v3.1.34 a well deserved 4 out of 5 stars. To see more screenshots, get trial download and pricing info visit www.link-checker-pro.com
